FIVES: Breathe In The Silence’s Essential Tour Tracks

For Bridgend, South Wales quintet Breathe In The Silence, the road to the release of their forthcoming second EP has been a struggle. Having been through a series of ups and downs, they look to be on the rise again as ‘Hold My Heart’ sees them embrace their anthemic side yet retain post-hardcore skin.

Having appeared at Download Festival, Merthyr Rocks, Oxjam Festival and Butserfest in the past, Breathe In The Silence recently went out on tour with rising Swedish rockers Normandie. Like any band, BITS spent hours travelling up and down the country in a van listening to music.

We asked the band to give us an insight into their touring playlist as they picked out five songs that pulled them through those long drives.

The 1975 – UGH

The 1975 are having a huge success at the moment and a couple of us are really into their new album. Their choruses are infectious and their sound is very fun, ideal to get over the long drives on no sleep!

Normandie – Fight

We all got hooked on this song immediately during our UK tour with Normandie, it’s literally the type of song that you’d listen to before battle. Perfect for ripping up the M1!

Issues – Coma

Issues are the kings of that techno groove vibe at the moment. ‘Coma’ is no exception and definitely gets out the air drummer in all of us. Those ghost notes! The chorus is absolutely huge as well, an absolute sing-along must on the road.

Justin Bieber – Company

Playing rock music all of the time usually means that you’ve got to unwind, which got us into Justin Bieber’s new album. ‘Company’ has just got that gritty, infectious bass line and we all love a good bit of melody!

PVRIS – Fire

This PVRIS song is one of our favourites, we love the whole synth-crossed-with-rock thing that they absolutely nail! Lyndsey’s voice is incredible as well.

‘Hold My Heart’ EP by Breathe In The Silence is released on 2nd September on Crooked Noise Records.
