Motörhead guitarist Edward Allan Clarke aka “Fast Eddie” has passed away following treatment for pneumonia. He was 67.

Alkaline Trio will be releasing a live collection called ‘Past Live’. It documents their 2014 residency at the Metro in Chicago. The set will include live recordings of all eight studio albums and is available on CD and Blu-Ray and in different bundles.

BabyMetal guitarist Mikio Fujioka has died at the age of 36.

Marshall Records, the label started by legendary amp company Marshall Amplification, have announced Press to MECO have joined them. Their long-awaited second album, ‘Here’s To The Fatigue’ will be released on March 3rd.

Venn Records have announced they will be releasing the new EP from Rough Hands. The 12" is called ‘Moral Terror’ and will be released in April.

Iron Reagan and Gatecreeper will be releasing a split LP through Relapse Records on March 2nd.

Midlands alt-rockers TrueHeights have announced they have signed with We Are Triumphant. A new EP, ‘Days We Found’, will be released on April 6th.

South West hardcore outfit Carrier will release their debut EP, ‘Wither’, in March.

Labanese black metallers Kaoteon have confirmed their new album, ‘Damnatio Memoriae’ will be released on February 23rd.

German death metal band Deathrite have signed a worldwide deal with Century Media.

Annapolis, MD’s Bumpin Uglies have signed with newly launched Chicago-based label – Space Duck Records. They will release their new LP, ‘Beast From The East’ on April 6th.

Rock duo The Pearl Hearts have announced their debut album. ‘Glitter and Spit’ will be released on February 23rd.

Festival News

The lineup for this year’s Bloodstock Festival continues to expand with the addition of Jasta & Friends, Venom Inc, Orphaned Land, and VOLA.

Brighton’s Washed Out Festival have added 34 bands to this April’s event. Set to take place across 7 venues on April 13th and 14th, the latest announcement sees itoldyouiwouldeatyou, Ithaca, Maths, Ducking Punches, Kamikaze Girls (acoustic), Wallflower, Gender Roles, Cassels, WACO, Evertim, Harker, Brightr and more joining the bill.

Other additions are Honey Joy, Rope, MUMMY, Never, Baby Names, Murderhouse, Haters, H_NGM_N, Pocket Dread, Bloody Death, Super Lemon Days, El Morgan and the Divers, Hora Douse, Camcorder, Scarecrow Boat, SickOnes, Spill, Grieving, Horseflies, The Burnt Tapes, Lost Avenue and I Feel Fine.

Homebound, Junior, Shaded and Out Cold have been announced for the very first Home Run Festival. It’ll take place at The Fighting Cocks in Kingston on February 9th. Entry is £10 on the door and is in aid of MIND.
