Song Premiere: The Alchemy – Intertwined

Emerging Canterbury quartet The Alchemy have been honing their brand of rock for almost four years. Their impending debut album, ‘Chemical Daydream’, is set to arrive at the end of this month. It sees them embrace an eclectic mix of rock, indie and electronic across 10 songs. Throughout they showcase their assured “Brit Rock” sound through intricate instrumentation and Rhys Taylor soaring voice, just as tracks such as ‘Gateway Drug’, ‘Runaway’ and ‘Give Me The Sky’ demonstrate. However, today we’re premiering one of the album’s more unique cuts.

‘Intertwined’ sees The Alchemy reign things in to create a harmonious number that gently captures your attention. With its soothing vocals and gradual build, it highlights their attributes in the best possible light.

“’Intertwined’ is a song that uses the scenario of a serious highway crash as a metaphor for a life changing event,” the band told us. “Two peoples’ lives come together and are intertwined from that moment forth.”

‘Chemical Daydream’ by The Alchemy is released on 29th March.
