St. Helens quartet Silver Story has been around since 2008, taking influence from a multitude of genres. This has led to the release of their EP, ‘Arts & Vandals’, a four-track release that promises many great things for this young band.
Kicking off with ‘Jaded’, we’re drawn in with a fast and furious tempo; discordant riffs mix with slick, smooth vocals that soar. Alex McCabe’s sweeping vocals twang with deep emotion and passion, evident during ‘My Empire’. A melodic bassline stretches to meet indestructible drumming. And it is here that Silver Story slow down slightly, using heart wrenching lyrics of “I am broken”, twisted within riffs that roar when needed.
