Today Already Heard is introducing a new layout and new logo. The change in design coincides with a new editorial approach we will be taking in the coming weeks and months.

Our new design is cleaner, larger and more mobile and tablet friendly Whilst in terms of site content we will be moving away from regular news post and shifting towards more long form pieces.

Already Heard Senior Editor Sean Reid explains:

“Already Heard is one of many, many music websites/blogs, all of which are competing for readers attention and views. From the launch of Already Heard in April 2012, we’ve realised this issue especially when it comes to covering American-related news. Our aim from the very start of this site was to produce interesting and original content. However over the past 12 months we’ve unfortunately neglected this aim as the site has been publishing more news.

When we decided to give the site a new look, we also decided to change our approach to content. So from hereon in you will be seeing more features and reviews and less news stories. Nonetheless when we will be publishing news, it will on bands that we genuinely care about and deserve to be mentioned on the site. Admittedly in the past we’ve covered bands that we didn’t enjoy and were included on the site for one reason or another.

I hope you like the new look and I hope you continue to support Already Heard in 2015 and beyond. On a personal note I would like to thank everyone involved with Already Heard, past and present as well the numerous individuals and companies we work with regularly.
