As a busy August comes to an end, the final #NewMusicFriday<\/strong> of the month is once again packed with new releases.<\/p>\n

You can read about new albums from\u00a0Nova Twins<\/strong>,\u00a0Pinkshift<\/strong>,\u00a0Slow Crush<\/strong>, and\u00a0lowheaven<\/strong> below. However, there are plenty of releases I’ve not had the chance to truly take in to share my thoughts on.<\/p>\n

Among them is\u00a0‘Straight Line Was a Lie’<\/em> from New Zealand’s The Beths<\/strong>. Their fourth album promises to be a delightful power-pop indie record, arriving just in time for the late summer evenings. In a similar soft skin, LA-based singer-songwriter\u00a0Runnner\u00a0<\/strong>(Noah Weinman) delivers his second album.\u00a0‘A Welcome Kind of Weakness’<\/em> builds on his lo-fi aesthetic to produce lush and layered songs of reflection.<\/p>\n

If you want some in-your-face hardcore to kickstart your weekend, then look no further than End It<\/strong>.\u00a0‘Wrong Side Of Heaven’<\/em> sees the Baltimore group team up with\u00a0producer Brian McTernan (Turnstile, Snapcase, Hot Water Music). It’s relentless 15 tracks pull from classic hardcore, thrash, and soul music, as the quartet preach “awareness of the change that\u2019s coming to Americans, personal growth, and maintaining the ethics and integrity of hardcore.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Italian progressive metal duo Asymmetric Universe<\/strong> look to leave their mark in the instrumental sphere with\u00a0‘A Memory And What Came After’<\/em>. Utilising a broad sound palette, the sibling pair weave in jazz passages to their dynamic progressive numbers.<\/p>\n

There are also new releases from queercore duo Death Goals<\/strong>, riff-heavy noisemakers\u00a0Sisters<\/strong>, Sydney hardcore titans No Apologies<\/strong>, rising metalcore group\u00a0Kingdom Of Giants<\/strong>, German power metal icons\u00a0Helloween<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>and more.<\/p>\n
