This week’s #NewMusicFriday<\/b> is again loaded with plenty of new releases. Besides albums from\u00a0La Dispute<\/strong>,\u00a0grandson<\/strong>,\u00a0Fleshwater<\/strong>, and\u00a0blessthefall<\/strong>, there are also surprise drops, anniversary releases, and live albums.<\/p>\n

Slipknot<\/strong> are giving their self-titled album the deluxe treatment with rarities, alternate mixes, and live performances attached.\u00a0‘I Want To Disappear In The USA’<\/em><\/a> sees\u00a0The Story So Far<\/strong> unexpectedly launch their new\u00a0Oak Grove Records<\/strong> label. While the emerging metalcore band, Vianova<\/strong>, have surprised us with the release of their debut album – ‘HIT IT!’\u00a0<\/em>It sees the rising Berlin group stretch their charismatic sound from bouncy nu-metal, dramatic post-hardcore to funk-laden grooves, jazzy shifts, and flashes of\u00a0 ’80’s synths.<\/p>\n

When it comes to homegrown, independent music, today sees George Gadd + The Aftermath <\/strong>release their debut album,\u00a0‘Too Many Ghosts’<\/em> (see below). Carsick <\/strong>return with ‘Tough Luck’<\/em>, showcasing their signature blend of pissed-up punk, swaggering indie sound, and deadpan social commentary at their most unfiltered. While coming-of-age DIY punk trio cheerbleederz\u00a0<\/strong>deliver\u00a0‘(prove me wrong)’.\u00a0<\/em>There is also\u00a0‘Recovery Language,’<\/em> the debut album from UKHC “supergroup”\u00a0Still In Love<\/strong>. Learn more about that below. Meanwhile, nu-hardcore mob\u00a0Bodyweb<\/strong> look to interject cyberpunk aesthetics into their brand of hardcore.<\/p>\n
