Today, Portsmouth&#8217;s <strong>Takedown Festival<\/strong> has announced its two headliners. Taking place at the Guildhall on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th April 2026,\u00a0<strong>Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons\u00a0<\/strong>will close out the opening night with a special\u00a0<strong>Mot\u00f6rhead<\/strong> set. The following night will see the much-talked-about <strong>PRESIDENT<\/strong> headline their first festival.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe\u2019re proud to officially launch Takedown Festival 2026,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>Takedown <\/strong>co-directors Sarah and Kai Harris. <em>\u201cThis year\u2019s event taps into a powerful moment in metal culture. With younger fans rediscovering the roots of heavy music\u2014especially following the passing of icons like Ozzy Osbourne\u2014we\u2019re honoured to have Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons headline Friday 3rd April with a full Mot\u00f6rhead set. It\u2019s a chance to celebrate a legacy that continues to inspire across generations.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOn Saturday 4th April, we\u2019re handing the reins to President, one of the most talked-about new acts in UK heavy music. Their April \u2018Campaign Trail\u2019 tour sold out instantly, and their debut EP King of Terrors has struck a chord with fans through its cinematic intensity.
