Today saw the first 23 names be announced for next year&#8217;s late May Bank Holiday gathering. The news is led by headliners\u00a0<strong>Good Charlotte<\/strong>, who will be returning to the UK for the first time in seven years.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are excited to come back and play the UK for the first time in 7 years and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Slam Dunk will be a great time. Kicking off this next chapter of GC in the UK this way will be a lot of fun and a great precursor for what is still to come! Some of our fav shows in our career have been in the UK and this will be no exception!\u201d<\/em> <strong>Good Charlotte<\/strong> says in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>With the festival marking two decades, the first wave of names provides plenty of blasts from the past.\u00a0 <strong>Taking Back Sunday <\/strong>and <strong>Cartel<\/strong> will be getting in on the celebrations as they celebrate 20 years of landmark albums,\u00a0<em>&#8216;Louder Now&#8217;<\/em> and\u00a0<em>&#8216;Chroma&#8217;<\/em> respectively.\u00a0<strong>Motion City Soundtrack<\/strong> will follow up the recently released <em>&#8216;The Same Old Wasted Wonderful World&#8217;\u00a0<\/em>by making a long-overdue return to the UK. Meanwhile, ska\/reggae-punk outfit <strong>Sublime<\/strong> will be playing their first-ever UK shows at\u00a0<strong>Slam Dunk\u00a0<\/strong>2026. There will also be sets from\u00a0<strong>A<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Allister<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Hawthorne Heights<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Dashboard Confessional<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Set Your Goals<\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Tonight Alive<\/strong>.\u00a0And it wouldn&#8217;t be\u00a0<strong>Slam Dunk<\/strong> without\u00a0<strong>Goldfinger<\/strong> or <strong>Zebrahead<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the other names announced today are\u00a0<strong>President<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Bury Tomorrow<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>The Menzingers<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cancer Bats<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Stand Atlantic<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>unpeople<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On reaching the milestone,\u00a0Ben Ray, Founder of Slam Dunk Festival said, <em>\u201cWhen I started the festival 20 years ago, I had no idea it would get to the milestone of 20 years, let alone be the size that it has grown to. I am overwhelmed by the continued support for the event, both from the dedicated fan base who come every single year, to all the bands that keep coming back to play!
