Following 2013\u2019s self-explanatory <em>\u2019Creepy EP\u2019<\/em>, <em>\u2018Reasons Not To Sleep\u2019<\/em> adds an aggressive, darker atmosphere to their previously raw punk riffs, combining self-criticism with an anguish exclusively known to punk.<!-- more --><\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>Opening on the punchy contagion <em>\u2018DNR\u2019<\/em>, gang vocals and disillusioned melodies herald a revival of Bullets-era MCR and AFI. <em>\u201cStrike me off the chart, shut me down and put me on a DNR\u201d<\/em> cries frontman Alex Marshall, although thankfully, their resuscitation of the emo traditions of the \u201800s proves more than welcome.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis isn\u2019t who we are,\u201d<\/em> calls out <em>\u2018Gradients Of Grey\u2019<\/em>, its undeniable passion driven by authoritative drums from Jack Donnelly. The ethereal opening of <em>\u2018Disparate, Desperate\u2019<\/em> adds colossal depth to a melodic tune reminiscent of Panic!
