It is the second song lifted from their upcoming third album,\u00a0<em>&#8216;Pull Like a Dog&#8217;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Written while out on a North American tour, they aimed to have the song complete while out on the same run. \u201c<em>To be able to write a song that quickly and for it to feel that good kickstarted everything,\u201d<\/em> says guitarist Conor Dockery. <em>\u201cWe\u2019re not trying to reinvent the wheel on this album\u2014it\u2019s about taking the pressure off, reinterpreting ideas, and not overthinking things. It follows\u00a0<em>&#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/already-heard-recommends-songs-of-the-week-17\/#sugar\">House of Dead Memories&#8217;<\/a> <\/em>with both tracks to set to be released on 7&#8243; vinyl on May 1st via <strong>BMG<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the track, frontman Bob Mould shared,\u00a0<em>\u201cI wrote \u2018Long Live Love\u2019 in 2007 while living in Washington DC. It was the George W. Bush era, I was deep in my DJ world with Blowoff, yet still writing pop songs on guitars. It&#8217;s called\u00a0<em>&#8217;25 Forever&#8217; <\/em>and will be released through\u00a0<strong>Alcopop Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c&#8217;25 Forever&#8217; is a collection of songs navigating themes of love, loss, heartbreak, friendships and resilience\u2014it reflects on coming of age in a turbulent time for the world, looking inward, and finding yourself when things seem bleak,\u201d<\/em> shares vocalist KT Hall.<\/p>\n<p>The album&#8217;s lead single,\u00a0<em>&#8216;Straight Men&#8217;<\/em>, has also been released and sees\u00a0<strong>Chroma<\/strong> asking men to have a word with other men about their behaviour.\u00a0<em>\u201cI\u2019m taking about sexual harassment. I\u2019m talking about intimidation,\u201d<\/em> Hall explains, <em>\u201cI\u2019m talking about the \u2018manosphere\u2019 and how young men today are being radicalised by influencers such as Andrew Tate. I\u2019m talking about the crisis of violence against women and young girls in the UK and the world.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The release of\u00a0<em>&#8217;25 Forever&#8217;<\/em> will coincide with a UK tour in April.
