Set to be released through\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/counterintuitiverecords.com\/collections\/prince-daddy-the-hyena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Counter Intuitive Records<\/strong><\/a>, it sees the New Yorkers reunite with producer Joe Reinhart.<\/p>\n<p>The album promises to show\u00a0<strong>Prince Daddy &amp; the Hyena<\/strong>&#8216;s experimental and expansive side. It\u2019s unconventional and simple, and just very beautiful.\u201d<\/em> Guitarist Meg Mills added that the track has <em>\u201cone of the most iconic basslines of all time. I think it\u2019s so powerful in its simplicity.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>With the passing of <strong>Stone Roses<\/strong> bassist Gary \u2018Mani\u2019 Mounfield late last year, Mills <em>&#8220;felt like a really appropriate time to pay homage to him,\u201d<\/em> she says. <em>\u201cDefinitely as a Brit, The Stone Roses were one of those bands that every kid who had any inkling towards anything alternative just knew from such an early age. Preview Debut Album with &#8216;Constant Tension&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Held.<\/strong>, the new band consisting of Douglas Robinson and Sal Mignano of <strong>The Sleeping<\/strong>, and <strong>Coheed And Cambria<\/strong>\u2019s Josh Eppard, have shared their second single.\u00a0<em>Constant Tension&#8217;<\/em> is taken from their debut album,\u00a0<em>&#8216;GREY,&#8217;\u00a0<\/em>which is scheduled for release on May 15th via\u00a0<strong>MNRK Heavy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The track showcases an unsettled dynamic with Robinson&#8217;s introspective words as he wrestles with his purpose.\u00a0<em>\u201cConstant Tension&#8217;stems from an everlasting battle within myself to embrace who I am via internal reflection,\u201d<\/em> Robinson explains. <em>\u201cIt\u2019s all of my strengths fighting against all of my weaknesses. There is a \u2018constant tension,\u2019 a violent push and pull within my mind every single day. I let myself down so much, to the point where I often feel like I have to somewhat abandon myself and step outside to try and see the bigger picture, but the hurt inside of me pulls me back into my own thoughts. I go completely blank to try and focus, which oddly enough resorts to more tension and more clouded thoughts. It feels like an endless cycle. After finishing one of the busiest and best years of our lives, from our first time in the US to dropping our debut album, it was the first time we had a bit of time to ourselves. We were back in the \u201creal world\u201d, taking everything in that we&#8217;ve missed and truly realised why we do this in the first place,&#8221;<\/em> reflects\u00a0<strong>Split Chain<\/strong> frontman Bert Martinez-Cowles. &#8220;<em>The world is horrible, hate is everywhere and living just feels like a constant struggle, with the people in control who act like it&#8217;s a game. It was a &#8216;Truman Show&#8217; feeling that we couldn&#8217;t shake, which is where the song was created from, with the name being based on the character Sylvia.
