The record features reworked versions of all ten original tracks, including <em>&#8216;Nancy Boy&#8217;<\/em> and <i>&#8217;36 Degrees,<\/i>&#8216; alongside two bonus tracks.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement is accompanied by news of a major UK and European tour, with the UK leg running from late November through early December. Capturing their use of angular guitars and emotional bursts, it&#8217;s delivered with infectious energy.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;Severed is an exploration of the emotions you feel when having to cut out an alcoholic and hostile family member,&#8221;<\/i> says guitarist Dan Dewsnap. <i>&#8220;Even though they brought so much pain, the relief is also tied in with a dash of guilt that you couldn\u2019t help them change. The self-titled effort will be released through <b>Pure Noise Records<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The first track lifted from the record, <i>&#8216;Midnight Hour,&#8217;<\/i> captures the tension between melancholy reflection and cathartic release. It&#8217;s work, it&#8217;s war, it&#8217;s politics, it&#8217;s our health. Business is angry and ugly, it&#8217;s vulnerable, and it speaks for all of us,&#8221;<\/i> says vocalist\/guitarist Lily Hopkins. <i>&#8220;I wanted to make an album that pins you to the wall from start to finish, and that&#8217;s what Business does.&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Undoubtedly, Hopkins and drummer Lewis Copsey don&#8217;t hold back, with the album promising to be their most politically charged. As a taster, they&#8217;ve shared the album&#8217;s title track. It&#8217;s called <i>&#8216;Back into the Womb&#8217;<\/i> and will be released through <b>Church Road Records<\/b> on June 26th.<\/p>\n<p>With a sound that jolts around soul, jazz, folk, progressive rock, math rock, and more, <i>&#8216;Back into the Womb&#8217;<\/i> hints at <b>Sans Froid<\/b> becoming more expansive. It promises to pull in abstract and thought-provoking themes.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;Thematically, the songs all have metaphorical nudges toward patriarchal existence, blindly and internally manoeuvring overwhelming division and just trying to do the best you can with the crumbs you have,&#8221;<\/i> the quartet shared. <i>&#8220;We don&#8217;t ever set out to have themes, but this is what always seems to be the undercurrent in the end.&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The album announcement is joined by the release of its lead single, <i>&#8216;The Exploiter of Art&#8217;<\/i>.
