\"\"London hardcore group Bastions<\/b> have announced they will be going on an “indefinite hiatus” following their show supporting Rolo Tomassi<\/b> on June 2nd.<\/p>\n

The news sees Bastions<\/b> the latest in a group of UK bands breaking up in recent months following Pariso<\/b><\/a>, Heart In Hand<\/b><\/a>, Goodtime Boys<\/b><\/a>, Grappler<\/b> and Breaking Point<\/a><\/b> would all be calling it a day.<\/p>\n

The band made the following statement:<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter the show in June with Rolo Tomassi, we will be taking an extended break from all things Bastions related. This is a band that we\u2019ve always said that if we all can\u2019t put 100% into, then we wouldn\u2019t at all. We know we\u2019ve been promising a second album for months, and we were eight tracks into writing, but real life sometimes gets in the way. Unfortunately in this instance some of us have to deal with the cards that we\u2019ve been dealt.<\/i><\/p>\n

If this seems sudden, it\u2019s because it is. We\u2019ve tried our best to make it all work with the recording coming up in June, but circumstances cannot allow. Please believe that there is nobody more disappointed than us, as we\u2019ve always put massive expectations on ourselves, but we would rather leave a revivable (semi) good looking corpse rather than it wither away with lacklustre effort.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cWe truly believe that this isn\u2019t a goodbye, if and when the time is right, we will be back.<\/i><\/p>\n
