Robust, powerful and packed with subtle hooks, it\u2019s the sort of EP that leaves you eager for more.<\/p>\n<p>Only 5 songs long, and with a sub 20 minute run time, it\u2019s brief and intense, but gives you enough to get a handle on what the Syracuse NY five-piece are about. <em>\u2018Dead End\u2019<\/em>, featuring Daisyhead\u2019s Michael Roe, is the perfect opening shot, a bluster of duelling vocals and subtle toe-tapping melodies which set up the EP perfectly. <em>\u2018Eclipse\u2019<\/em> is another similarly charged cut, which showcases <strong>Trespassers<\/strong> at their serrated, jagged best.<!-- more --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/trespassersny.bandcamp.com\/album\/rival-glass-ep\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rival Glass EP by Trespassers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But, while the directness of the aforementioned tracks showcases <strong>Trespassers<\/strong> at their best, they also deliver when they take the subtle approach. <em>\u2018Thereafter\u2019<\/em> is much more percussive and thoughtful, adding a murky atmosphere to proceedings while <em>\u2018Sinking Stone\u2019<\/em> sees them break away from the Balance and Composure hero worship sufficiently to add some originality to their sound.
