Allison Weiss<\/b> has announced she is pulling out of her forthcoming UK tour supporting Rob Lynch<\/b> and Front Porch Step<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Weiss has cited recent allegations made against Jake McElfresh of Front Porch Step as the reason for pulling out of the shows which take place later this month.<\/p>\n

The indie-pop singer-songwriter made the following comment:<\/p>\n

“Due to the recent allegations made against Jake McElfresh of Front Porch Step, I have decided I will not be touring with him this month in the UK. Whether the shows will happen without him or not is yet to be determined. I promise to post any updates here on Facebook as more information becomes available.”<\/i><\/p>\n

In recent days various<\/a> online sources<\/a> have reported Jake McElfresh of Front Porch Step<\/b> has been talking to underage girls, sending them explicit text messages and sexually harassing them. McElfresh has comment on the allegations:<\/p>\n

“I am aware of the serious allegations and sensational things being posted on the internet about me and my personal life. While this is personally difficult to experience, I am taking the appropriate, meaningful, and objective steps to address the severity of these things and the horrendous words being used. I would truly hope that others who have or will propagate these serious allegations will do the same.”<\/i><\/p>\n

The allegations has led to a online petition to have McElfresh removed from this summers Vans Warped Tour. Whilst Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman has stated he will be looking into the issue.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing Front Porch Step<\/b>’s debut UK tour is scheduled to begin later this month.<\/p>\n
