However, that hasn\u2019t stopped the <b>Already Heard<\/b> from picking out a selection of significant new releases that you can\u2019t afford to ignore in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Undoubtedly, there are some of 2017\u2019s most anticipated releases seeing the light of day this month. While there are also some hidden gems that we think you should be checking out. Here\u2019s six must-hear releases for August.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/play.soundsgood.co\/embed\/597f86d7ed8f0f5172ef3278?\" width=\"100%\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<figure class=\"tmblr-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/eda8486cb175ab72818358c0aa5856e8\/tumblr_oczgq9lfGb1r8no6so1_r84_1280.jpg\" width=\"250em\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Pvris &#8211; All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell<\/h2>\n<p>With their debut album <i>\u2019White Noise\u2019<\/i>, <b>Pvris<\/b> emphatically announced themselves as one of the single most exciting bands on the planet. The two years that have passed since then have done nothing to dull the sense of hysteria or never ceasing demand that surrounds the trio, with forthcoming sophomore full-length <i>\u2019All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell\u2019<\/i> seeming to be even more hotly anticipated as their debut, if that\u2019s even possible.<\/p>\n<p>So far the band have teased us with just a taste of what\u2019s to come, with both <i>\u2019Heaven\u2019<\/i> and <i>\u2019What\u2019s Wrong\u2019<\/i> suggesting they\u2019ve taken the enigmatic blueprint established last time out and stretched it even further, the atmospheric song writing receiving impressive levels of melodic depth and nuance, the former track shows Lynn Gunn\u2019s vocal performances have only grown in their spinetingling nature in parallel with her superstar status. All the signs point to <i>\u2019All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell\u2019<\/i> making <b>Pvris<\/b> the arena-bothering band they have the potential to be. While there\u2019s plenty going on in the underground to prove those people otherwise, there\u2019s no denying that Josh Homme and co. are one of the biggest groups to bring adrenaline, hedonism and white knuckled songwriting to a widespread audience.<\/p>\n<p>Four years after <b>QOTSA<\/b> challenged themselves and their listeners with the expansive and frequently twisted <i>\u2018\u2026Like Clockwork\u2019<\/i>, the band return later this month with seventh full-length <i>\u2018Villains,\u2019<\/i> which promises to be more <i>\u2018up-tempo\u2019<\/i> than it\u2019s predecessor. From the neon-coloured swing of lead single <i>\u2018The Way You Used to Do\u2019<\/i> and the announcement that the record\u2019s production would be handled by <i>\u2018Uptown Funk\u2019<\/i> mastermind Mark Ronson, it\u2019s easier to see how \u2018Villains\u2019 could be their most consciously buoyant effort to date.<\/p>\n<p>But then Josh Homme has never been one for predictability, and that\u2019s why <b>QOTSA<\/b> continues to excite and entice their fans to this day, and we expect nothing less than that when <i>\u2018Villains\u2019<\/i> drops. Since it\u2019s release, they\u2019ve toured relentlessly and collaborated with members of Blink-182 and Dashboard Confessional.<\/p>\n<p>Third LP <i>\u2018The Peace and the Panic\u2019<\/i> comes with a wave of expectation for <b>Neck Deep<\/b> from a global audience, and the singles released so far are smashing those expectations out of the park. This includes the doomsday reckoning <i>\u2018Happy Judgement Day\u2019<\/i>, the emo-tinged rush of <i>\u2018Motion Sickness\u2019<\/i> and the monumental <i>\u2018Where Do We Go When We Go\u2019<\/i>, which is guaranteed to become a staple in all future live shows.<\/p>\n<p>On the strength of these tracks, <i>\u2018The Peace and the Panic\u2019<\/i> is set to be another hit from a band who have quickly grown to become the most iconic in today\u2019s alternative scene. Stylistically, it appears it will follow the same laid back tone of its predecessor. However, both singles so far, <i>&#8216;Super Natural\u2019<\/i> and <i>&#8216;Sunshine Type\u2019<\/i>, suggest a more lyrically optimistic approach. Together they pleasantly capture a summery and idealistic mood.<\/p>\n<p>Following the departure of guitarist Eric Soucy, <b>Turnover<\/b>, now playing as a trio, have hinted at a more groove-laden set of songs, with influences ranging from blues to jazz to psychedelic. While frontman Austin Getz has spoken about the detailed sequencing and the lengthy pre-production spent on fine-tuning <i>&#8216;Good Nature\u2019<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>With the summer winding down, <i>&#8216;Good Nature\u2019<\/i> has all the ingredients to become its soundtrack; breezy and assured. However these songs have more double kick pedal assaults and beatdowns condensed into these tight song lengths than some bands would care to put into entire albums. Previously released tracks <i>\u2018Broken\u2019<\/i> and <i>\u2018War March\u2019<\/i> are guaranteed to make listeners transform into a human hurricane and break everything in their living room, and reduce live venues to dust.<\/p>\n<p>As <i>\u2018Cycles of Grief Volume 1: Growth\u2019<\/i> promises to be a brooding and bleak record as well as highly volatile, this is sure to be a record that will make <b>Cursed Earth<\/b> new favourites on the hardcore circuit. And, if it\u2019s anything like 2015\u2019s self-titled effort, it could be another classic for the label.<\/p>\n<p>Taking cues from Brand New, The Hotelier and fellow Ohioan\u2019s Annabel, there\u2019s a poppy undercurrent to <b>Dead Leaves<\/b> sound that makes for a lighter listen compared to these touchstones, even though the lyrical content may be downbeat. Certainly, early cuts from <i>\u2018Vultures\u2019<\/i>, including the excellent <i>\u2018Bloodshot\u2019<\/i>, point to significant growth in this direction compared to the more sombre indie-rock of their self-titled effort.<\/p>\n<p>Could it be another success story for Take This To Heart?
