It can\u2019t be argued that the 2000 Trees Festival<\/b> has a stellar line-up of bands and artists playing this weekend. Amongst them is Decade<\/b><\/a>. Returning earlier this year with their second record, \u2018Pleasantries\u2019<\/i>, the Bath quintet have become a dynamic band taking in Britpop and grunge elements alongside their catchy pop-rock sound.<\/p>\n

Their spot at 2000 Trees<\/b> follows a busy few months which included a UK headline run before heading to Europe with Counterfeit and an appearance at the Slam Dunk Festival.<\/p>\n

So with the combination of one of the UK\u2019s most underrated bands playing at a festival rooted in underground rock, we decided to ask Decade<\/b>\u2019s Alex Sears to pick out 8 essential bands to watch this weekend.<\/p>\n

Deaf Havana – Trigger<\/h2>\n

We\u2019re heading out on the road with the Deaf Havana guys later this year and this track is such a belter, can\u2019t wait to see them at Trees and cut a few rugs.<\/p>\n

Black Foxxes – I\u2019m Not Well<\/h2>\n

I caught these guys live in the past and they are a real force. It\u2019s hard to believe just three dudes can make such an incredible noise!<\/p>\n

Get Inuit – Pro Procrastinator<\/h2>\n

I love this band a lot and it\u2019s hard to pick a favourite song, but this is the first I heard and it\u2019s such a jam sandwich. Again, another really unbelievable live band.<\/p>\n

Wallflower – Splintered<\/h2>\n

This damn band\u2026 I cannot get enough of them. I definitely think they are contenders for one of best live band around right now. They just put this track out last week and announced a new EP which I\u2019ve been fortunate enough to listen to and let me tell you, it is dynamite.<\/p>\n

Lower Than Atlantis – Could Be Worse<\/h2>\n

You can never pass up an opportunity to see these guys play – some insanely talented musicians and always a laugh to catch up when we can.<\/p>\n

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes – I Hate You<\/h2>\n

I desperately wanted to pick a track from their new album but I\u2019ve seen them live a handful of times now and this track is always the highlight of the set for me. I\u2019ll never tire of hearing a full crowd of people sing \u201cYou\u2019re a useless f*cking c*nt\u201d<\/i> in unison\u2026<\/p>\n

The Menzingers – Good Things<\/h2>\n

I\u2019ve never seen this band before but they\u2019ve been with me on rotation through some real shit. I\u2019m crossing everything I\u2019ve got in the hope they play this track so I can spill my beer absolutely everywhere and tear my throat to shreds.<\/p>\n

Big Spring – Cold Foot<\/h2>\n

A band of complete and utter legends. I always love watching them play live, some seriously meaty riffs and insane vocals. This tune is a recent one and it absolutely slays!<\/p>\n
