London\/Brighton emo noise duo Splurge<\/b> use their music to express the bad things in life. For example, new single, \u2018Stow Away\u2019<\/i> is about a rash decision to move away to a place where nobody knows you. Nevertheless, Rob and Joe produce a washed out, cathartic release with ‘Stow Away\u2019<\/i> that is full of adrenaline.<\/p>\n

The track is taken from the duo\u2019s second EP, ‘Mood Swings\u2019<\/i> which was released this past weekend on Honeypot Records<\/b>. The EP is four riff-charged songs with a lyrical focus on Joe\u2019s mental health. As a result, all profit from the digital downloads will be donated to MIND<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n

To follow up ‘Mood Swings\u2019<\/i>\u2019 release, Splurge<\/b> has teamed up with Already Heard<\/b> to premiere the video for ‘Stow Away\u2019<\/i>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cThe video for ‘Stow Away\u2019 was recorded by our good friend Henry Croston and tries to capture running away from your problems to your mates,\u201d<\/i> Joe tells us. \u201cThe song is about when I suddenly decided to up and move to Bristol after being cheated on. When I was there, I didn\u2019t have many friends so decided to learn guitar and continuously drove 200 miles home to see Rob and drink our problems away.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

‘Mood Swings\u2019<\/i> EP by Splurge<\/b> is out now on Honeypot Records<\/b><\/a>. All profit from the EP will go to MIND<\/a><\/b>, a mental health charity.<\/p>\n
