Emerging Dutch trio Charades<\/b> label themselves as “Brand New performed by your favourite 90’s band”<\/i>, which is an ideal description as their debut EP, ‘Grey Pillar Sky’<\/i> captures the band’s raw, youthful sound with a cynical lyrical approach.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the EP’s release on May 26th, we’ve teamed up with the band’s label, White Russian Records<\/b>, to premiere a new track called ‘Skin’<\/i>. With hints of Brand New, Basement and Biffy Clyro, the track is a stirring slice of alt rock with Gerben Kieviet displaying impassioned vocals and sonically satisfying guitars. Joined by bassist Frank Mastenbroek and drummer Rick Kouwenberg, the three-piece are merely scratching the surface with ‘Skin’<\/i>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

On the track, the band said about the track:<\/p>\n

“’Skin’ is drained in teenage angst. It talks about the rare moments when everything falls in to place and you know exactly what to do.”<\/i> <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
