This week, we have an emo-punk quartet from Hartford, a raw German punk band and a DIY indie-punk group from Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

Sorority Noise<\/strong>
FFO<\/strong>; Modern Baseball, Old Gray, Weezer.
Sorority Noise<\/strong>, hailing from Hartford, CT, have breached Europe with their new record, ‘Forgettable’<\/em>, and rightly so. The great Dog Knights Productions<\/strong> are releasing the LP in Europe, whilst Broken World <\/strong>and\u00a0Stormchasers<\/strong> cater to the rest. It\u2019s currently \u201cpay what you want\u201d on Bandcamp, but the LPs themselves look absolutely spectacular so check them out. There\u2019s a lot of wonderful things I\u2019d like to say about this record but I wouldn\u2019t do it justice. Instead, I advise you to listen and make up your own assumptions, although I doubt you\u2019d be disappointed.<\/p>\n

Beach Slang<\/strong> are (another) new and exciting Philadelphian band. As I\u2019ve said many times previously, I find it hard of late to find music that excites me and gives me that almost inspirational feeling. Beach Slang<\/strong> achieve this with their breathtaking first EP, \u2018Who Would Ever Want Anything So Broken?<\/em>\u2019. Go, buy it from their Bandcamp or order a lovely coloured vinyl from the ever wonderful Dead Broke Rekerds<\/strong>.\u00a0This IS your summer music sorted.<\/p>\n

A quick read-up gives me the information that Darmstadt, Germany holds the official title \u2018City Of Science\u2019 due to being a major centre of scientific institutions. It doesn\u2019t, however, tell me how amazing bands like ROLLERGIRLS<\/strong> get breezed over when they\u2019re so incredible. Their record \u2018Satisfied With Less<\/em>’ was released last November, and it’s perfect summer jams. I know very little about ROLLERGIRLS<\/strong> as a band, but I do hope they\u2019re still together and making music as continually fun as this record. It\u2019s available for \u2018pay what you want\u2019 on Bandcamp, so you can\u2019t go wrong with making a leap of faith and downloading.<\/p>\n
