\"\"In a recent interview with The Sunday Times<\/a>, ex-Lostprophets guitarists Lee Gaze and Mike Lewis have spoken for the first time about the actions of former bandmate Ian Watkins.<\/p>\n

Watkins was imprisoned for 29 years in jail late last year for child sex offences.<\/p>\n

In the interview Gaze said the band had no idea of Watkins’ actions:<\/p>\n

“There was absolutely nothing that led us to suspect what he’d done. I think he crated such a smokescreen. I hate to rely on cliches, but when you see the profile of a paedophile, he couldn’t be any further from it. He was always surrounded by all these women, so it just seemed impossible.”<\/i><\/p>\n

Whilst Mike Lewis states that the band have no intention to remain in contact with Watkins:<\/p>\n

“I’ve thought about it long and hard, and, no, I have no interest in ever speaking to him again. I feel incredibly bad for his mother and his whole family and the stigma they have to endure now because of what he’s done and what his actions have done to hurt so many people. But I have no interest in questioning him about it. Ever.”<\/i><\/p>\n

The interview also mentions how the bands relationship deteriorated towards the end of the band.<\/p>\n
