\"image\"Everyone\u2019s been excitingly awaiting in anticipation for Mayday Parade\u2019s<\/strong> fourth studio album \u2018Monsters In The Closet\u2019\u00a0<\/em>– don\u2019t worry, it certainly isn\u2019t a disappointment. These guys have smashed the high expectations and have produced a superb creative catchy pop-punk record.<\/p>\n

The Florida quintet has stayed true to their sound, producing tracks starring their upbeat energetic rock style and featuring captivating sing-along lyrics. All the songs are still sexually charged and dramatic, with an extra ounce of maturity since their previous self-titled record \u2018Mayday Parade\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Fans will already know the released single \u2018Ghost\u2019<\/em> which is the terrific introductory track to the album, with a mysterious slow-paced start which smashes into the group\u2019s usual upbeat pop-punk style with a heavy beat and electrifying riffs. The catchy lyrics \u201cif there were monsters in the closet, well I don\u2019t think I would be surprised, I hear them call out from my window, they try to trick me to come outside\u201d will soon have you singing along.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This follows with the other released album single of \u2018Girls\u2019<\/em>, an enthusiastic speedy-paced hit with cracking instrumentals and superb captivating vocals. The song is a bit clich\u00e9, but what boy-band hasn\u2019t produced a love hit about a girl? It\u2019s still proves to be a cracking hit.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The record still has the classic Mayday Parade<\/strong> charms, especially in \u201912 Through 15\u2019<\/em> with the gang vocals and typical backing \u201cwoahs\u201d. The song proves to be a diverse delight, a slow-paced moving hit, with mesmerising angelic vocals and lyrics \u201cyou said the problems in your heart, but the problems who you are, so leave me alone now, I would rather be lonely when I scream and shout, and let it out.\u201d A definite recommended listen; a real heart-wrenching track featuring a sweet beautiful melody.<\/p>\n

The other top listens are \u2018The Torment Of Existence Weighed Against The…\u2019 <\/em>for the thrilling instrumentals and the wicked heavily-featured exhilarating riffs. \u2018Even Robots Need Blankets\u2019<\/em> for the stunning piano featured alongside striking vocals; another emotionally touching melodic hit. The record closes with \u2018Angels\u2019,\u00a0<\/em>a beautiful acoustic melodic slow hit, featuring an exquisite violin, and more powerful heartbreaking lyrics; an example includes the following, \u201clet\u2019s toast to the lucky ones, to the girl that just broke my heart, I can\u2019t breathe, after all that you told me, you took my heart and made me melt again\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2019Monsters In The Closet\u2019<\/em> is a superb diverse pop-punk record, which makes a bold stamp that Mayday Parade <\/strong>are sticking to what they do best – straightforward catchy tracks with wicked hooks. The group have been expertly perfecting their style and sound for the past 7 years, and this album showcases it all. Every song is mesmerising, powerful, punchy, catchy, creative and has that rare \u201cfeel-good\u201d factor. It just makes you want to sing your heart out and dance your tootsies. Don\u2019t worry Mayday Parade<\/strong>\u00a0you certainly won\u2019t be making us feel miserable at best with these incredible hits.<\/p>\n
