I believe the 21 on <em>&#8216;Already Heard Recommends: Volume 1&rsquo;<\/em> show just what <strong>Already Heard<\/strong> and our &ldquo;Recommends&rdquo; feature is all about; exposing and highlighting emerging new bands that we truly believe in and we think our readers will enjoy as much as we do.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/tumblr_inline_mtdy1dOyj11qztcot.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Moose Blood<\/strong><br \/> Since we were introducing to Canterbury emo\/pop punk revivalist <strong>Moose Blood<\/strong> at the back end of last year, we quickly warmed to the quartet and it seems so have many others. Since being featured in our <a href=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/post\/41191452904\/already-heard-recommends-moose-blood\">&ldquo;Recommends&rdquo; feature<\/a> in January, their stock has risen having announced a split with <strong>Departures<\/strong> just this week and a run of shows alongside <strong>Funeral For A Friend<\/strong> taking place next month, things continue to look up for <strong>Moose Blood<\/strong>. Their <em>&#8216;Movng Home&rsquo;<\/em> EP continues to get regular play at Already Heard HQ; melancholy lyrics, jangly guitars and duel harmonies. They&rsquo;ve joined rising UK label <strong>Destroy Everything<\/strong> and released an EP titled <a href=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/post\/57787714077\/album-review-now-voyager-tell-tale-hearts-ep#.UjsvMBZpDoA\">&#8216;Tell-Tale Hearts&rsquo;<\/a>. With their brand of sophisticated and intricate metalcore, the Brussels band have wowed fans and critics as their onslaught of the UK coninutes by the day.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now, Voyager<\/strong> links: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/wearenowvoyager\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>|<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wearenowvoyager\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/tumblr_inline_mtdy75Io311qztcot.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hot Damn<\/strong><br \/> Welsh pop punks <strong>Hot Damn<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/post\/44615960666\/already-heard-recommends-hot-damn#.Ujsw3hZpDoA\">first caught our attention with the release of their latest mini-album, <em>&#8216;Sleep Alone&rsquo;<\/em> in March<\/a>. Brimming with confidence, tracks like <em>&#8216;Worn Out&rsquo;<\/em> is a confident yet honest slice of po punk that is certainly pleasing on the ear.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hot Damn<\/strong> links: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hotdamnuk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>|<a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/hotdamnuk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>|<a href=\"http:\/\/hotdamnuk.bandcamp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bandcamp<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/tumblr_inline_mlz09oqEr31qztcot.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>The First<\/strong><br \/> Cambridgeshire rockers <strong>The First<\/strong> are bold and come bagged with tons of riffs and memorable choruses. With an appearance at this Download Festival under their belt along with their recently released album, <em>&#8216;Take Courage&rsquo;<\/em>, <strong>The First<\/strong> are certainly a band on the rise.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>The First<\/strong> links: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wearethefirst.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Website<\/a>|<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thefirstuk?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>|<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thefirstrock\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/tumblr_inline_mtdy9eJIfq1qztcot.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Unifier<\/strong><br \/> After they received <a href=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/post\/42837309091\/album-review-unifier-colorado\">a 4.5 out of 5 review for their outstanding <em>&#8216;Colorado&rsquo;<\/em> LP<\/a>, Greensboro, NC&rsquo;s <strong>Unifier<\/strong> were the perfect candidate for <a href=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/post\/46333472635\/already-heard-recommends-unifier\">a &ldquo;Recommends&rdquo; feature earlier this year<\/a>. With a mix of catchy and moody numbers, the quartet have been compared to the likes of Jimmy Eat World and Alkaline Trio. The title track from <em>&#8216;Colorado&rsquo;<\/em> will be included on <em>&#8216;Already Heard Recommends: Volume 1&rsquo;<\/em>; lush, upbeat guitars alongside introspective lyrics.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unifier<\/strong> links: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/unifierband\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>|<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/unifierband\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/tumblr_inline_mtdyaz4lKK1qztcot.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>State Lines<\/strong><br \/> Long Island quartet <strong>State Lines<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/post\/24896806700\/already-heard-recommends-state-lines#.Ujs12RZpDoA\">were featured on &ldquo;Recommends&rdquo; way back in June 2012<\/a>. With comparisons to Tigers Jaw, Saves The Day, Brand New, and Alkaline Trio, we instantly fell in love with them. Their youthful spirit shined through on the bands self-titled EP whilst this years <em>&#8216;For The Boats&rsquo;<\/em> LP saw <strong>State Lines<\/strong> mature slightly yet they retained that strong catchy indie\/punk sound that makes them so good.<\/p>\n<p>&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;a href=&ldquo;http:\/\/tinyengines.bandcamp.com\/album\/for-the-boats&rdquo; data-mce-href=&ldquo;http:\/\/tinyengines.bandcamp.com\/album\/for-the-boats&rdquo;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;For The Boats by State Lines&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;\/a&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;<\/p>\n<p><strong>State Lines<\/strong> links: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/statelinesband\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>|<a href=\"http:\/\/www.statelines.bandcamp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bandcamp<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/tumblr_inline_mtdybrQijI1qztcot.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hero<\/strong><br \/> When we heard members of Mimi Soya, The Auteur and The Ghost of a Thousand were joining to form a pop-rock juggernaut, to say we were excited is an understatement. <strong>Hero<\/strong>&rsquo;s <em>&#8216;Raise It Up&rsquo;<\/em> was insanely catchy and certainly didn&rsquo;t disappoint our expectations. Now on <em>&#8216;Already Heard Recommends: Volume 1&rsquo;<\/em>, the Brighton five-piece have delivered another pop-rock number filled with confidence and soaring harmonies in <em>&#8216;Waterfalls&rsquo;<\/em>. Its definitely not one to miss.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hero<\/strong> links: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/weareheromusic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>|<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/weareheromusic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/tumblr_inline_mtdyivLWAw1qztcot.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Winter Passing<\/strong><br \/> Irish indie punks <strong>The Winter Passing<\/strong> were the second band to be featured on &ldquo;Recommeds&rdquo; in April 2012, and we&rsquo;ve certainly heard a lot more of this quintet since. With three UK tours and an EP release taking place over the past 18 months, <strong>The Winter Passing<\/strong> have certainly been making themselves known in the UK and back in Ireland. Their <em>&#8216;Scrapbook&rsquo;<\/em> tidied up the rough edges of the bands demo EP that we adored in early 2012. With a new EP and tours alongside A Loss For Words, Decade and Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! in the books, <strong>Light You Up<\/strong> have been showcasing their hard-hitting brand of pop-rock up and down the country. Tracks such as <em>&#8216;Foxfire&rsquo;<\/em> are energetic and filled with bold riffs.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Light You Up<\/strong> links: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/lightyouupofficial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>|<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/lightyouupband\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>|<a href=\"http:\/\/lightyouup.tumblr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tumblr<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/tumblr_inline_mtdyljaYbq1qztcot.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Calls Landing<\/strong><br \/> Leeds pop punk\/emo band <strong>Calls Landing<\/strong> have a sound that sound is reminiscent of their US compatriots Transit and The Wonder Years; introspective yet lively. Since we introduced them ahead of their <strong>Already Heard<\/strong>-sponsored UK tour with Make Your Mark <a href=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/post\/42345099431\/already-heard-recommends-calls-landing\">in February<\/a>, they have been hard at work on a new record.
