\"image\"It\u2019s getting harder and harder for me to keep writing about Gnarwolves<\/strong>. This Brighton trio is, for me at least, far and away the best band in the UK right now. So long as tracks like \u2018Melody Has Big Plans\u2019<\/em> keep cropping up somewhere between the most infuriatingly catchy and beefiest tracks out there, everyone else has some catching up to do.<\/p>\n

\u2018Funemployed\u2019<\/em> is four tracks all in the same wonderful vein. If you\u2019ve caught Gnarwolves live over the last couple of months \u2013 and let\u2019s be honest, you\u2019ve either seen them or you\u2019ve not left the house \u2013 you\u2019ll know these songs when they come on. They\u2019re just that good; once you\u2019ve heard them you\u2019ll take them to your grave. Both \u2018Melody Has Big Plans\u2019<\/em> and \u2018Limerance\u2019<\/em> have been knocking around on the Internet for a little while now, creating a much-deserved buzz for this EP. When the balladic intro to \u2018Limerance\u2019<\/em> falls away and suddenly becomes a powerhouse pop punk song you\u2019ll think it\u2019s all there. Cue one of the sickest choruses you\u2019ll hear all year: “Woah-oh, Woah-oh!”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

At Slam Dunk last month, everyone seemed to know the chorus to \u2018Tongue Surfer\u2019<\/em> despite it having not been released yet and \u2018High on a Wire\u2019<\/em> is just as good; fast, melodic, and with unstoppable energy it\u2019s the fourth in a quartet of brilliant songs.<\/p>\n

This is an EP that your summer needs. If you\u2019re lucky enough to live somewhere where summer means sun then roll down the windows and bang this on. If you\u2019re from the UK, where summer generally means nothing new for the weather, Gnarwolves<\/strong> are here to remind you not to give a fuck about it and to have a sweet time anyway. This is a top band at the top of their game \u2013 don\u2019t miss out.<\/p>\n
