{"id":28873,"date":"2013-05-21T10:12:29","date_gmt":"2013-05-21T10:12:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/album-review-morning-glory-born-to-december\/"},"modified":"2018-03-17T15:17:15","modified_gmt":"2018-03-17T15:17:15","slug":"album-review-morning-glory-born-to-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/album-review-morning-glory-born-to-december\/","title":{"rendered":"Album Review: Morning Glory &#8211; Born To December"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/imageshack.us\/a\/img842\/5480\/morninggloryg.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><span>After last year\u2019s <\/span><em>\u2018Poets Were My Heroes\u2019<\/em><span>, New York punk band <\/span><strong>Morning Glory<\/strong><span> see the release of <\/span><span><\/span><span>new winter themed 7\u201d \u2018<\/span><em>Born To December\u2019.<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><em>\u2018Born To December\u2019<\/em> isn\u2019t particularly a \u201cfall in love at first listen\u201d type of track and although the added elements of piano and strings create a more interesting sound, the vocals aren\u2019t particularly suited to it. It\u2019s only after two minutes when the track really kicks in; that your attention is truly grabbed.<!-- more --><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Thankfully, the 2 B-side tracks which are exclusive to the 7\u201d, continue down the thrash punk route and it\u2019s a much better suited sound.\u00a0 <em>\u2018Jesus Christ Boogie (O Aneurysm!)\u2019<\/em> is a hell of lot of catchier, as well as having some killer riffs. The standout track by far though is <em>\u2018Sara Says\u2019<\/em>; it\u2019s fast paced, hard hitting and is definitely more hardcore influenced.
