{"id":28935,"date":"2013-05-17T09:48:36","date_gmt":"2013-05-17T09:48:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/album-review-alexander-say-hello\/"},"modified":"2018-03-17T15:17:10","modified_gmt":"2018-03-17T15:17:10","slug":"album-review-alexander-say-hello","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/album-review-alexander-say-hello\/","title":{"rendered":"Album Review: Alexander &#8211; Say Hello"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/tumblr_inline_mmpbm6W4X51qztcot.jpg\" title=\"\">It has to be said, it\u2019s hard to question or fault the talent that is coming out of Britain at the moment; with bands such as Young Guns and You Me At Six starting to leave marks over in the States, it\u2019s so clear to see how much big rock talent we\u2019re producing on such a small island. <strong>Alexander<\/strong> should be no exception to this;<em> \u2018Say Hello\u2019<\/em> delivers a fresh sounding, perfectly styled indie rock album with a pop edge that should be a hard one to miss this year.<em> \u2018Say Hello\u2019<\/em> is the ultimate summer album;<em> \u2018You Lost Yourself\u2019<\/em> is a dancey indie pop track with a completely Foals-esque chorus that is completely addictive whilst <em>\u2018A Sweet Song\u2019,<\/em> showcases their more mellow side with a sweet acoustic number. It\u2019s not hard to imagine listening to some of these tracks in your garden, kicking back in the sun. Moreover, the combination of its soft indie rock with upbeat pop melodies means it\u2019s an appealing album to most people and is also ideal radio material.<!-- more --><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Vocally, they\u2019re not far off sounding like \u2013 now defunct &#8211; pop rockers Futures, but musically they\u2019re slightly more intricate and more interesting to listen to.
