In a scene that has flourished with exciting new names in recent years, <a href=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/tag\/marmozets\/\"><b>Marmozets<\/b><\/a> are back to lead the current crop of British rock.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ve never been a band to stick to the rulebook and <i>\u2018Knowing What You Know Now\u2019<\/i> maintains that ethos. Album #2 blends jarring riffs and dynamic hooks with an underlying notion of organic growth. <i>\u2018Play\u2019<\/i> is a bratty, bouncy opener. Full of punk-infused energy, it instantly throws you in at the deep end with an infectious adrenaline rush.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Marmozets - Major System Error [OFFICIAL VIDEO]\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oCJIUBf01Z0?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1&#038;origin=https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><!-- more --><\/p>\n<p>Without a doubt, <b>Marmozets<\/b> still heavily rely on delivering versatile and energetic songs. <i>&#8216;Major System Error\u2019<\/i> saws away with its thick bassline, Becca McIntyre\u2019s frenzied squeak and triumphant horns tucked away. <i>\u2018Lost In Translation\u2019<\/i> thrives with McIntyre\u2019s vocal swagger, punchy drums and handclap-led chorus. While <i>\u2018Like A Battery\u2019<\/i> is carried with a playful, glam rock stomp and duel vocals targeting those in power. Overall, their sound is more textured and musclier thanks to the production work of Gil Norton.<\/p>\n<p><b>Marmozets<\/b> are older and more confident in their abilities with McIntyre especially shining throughout. On <i>&#8216;Insomnia\u2019<\/i>, she delivers her words in an innocent, almost childlike, manner with steady guitars serving as it drifts along lightly. Whereas on the snappy <i>&#8216;Habits\u2019<\/i>, McIntyre carries the track with an uplifting, harmonious delivery. Although she has a strong presence, <i>\u2018Me &amp; You\u2019<\/i> shows there is a soft, vulnerable side to her.<\/p>\n<p>For the most part, <i>\u2018KWYKN\u2019<\/i> is fairly consistent yet later cuts <i>\u2018New Religion\u2019<\/i> and <i>\u2019Suffocate\u2019<\/i> feel like filler. Nevertheless, they redeem themselves with <i>\u2018Run With The Rhythm\u2019<\/i>.
