{"id":31720,"date":"2012-12-19T21:06:00","date_gmt":"2012-12-19T21:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/lostprophets-ian-watkins-charged-with-child-sex\/"},"modified":"2012-12-19T21:06:00","modified_gmt":"2012-12-19T21:06:00","slug":"lostprophets-ian-watkins-charged-with-child-sex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/lostprophets-ian-watkins-charged-with-child-sex\/","title":{"rendered":"Lostprophets&#8217; Ian Watkins Charged with Child Sex Offences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"image\" height=\"97\" src=\"http:\/\/imageshack.us\/a\/img198\/7264\/lostprophets150.jpg\" width=\"150\" title=\"\">Earlier today disturbing news broke that <strong>Lostprophets<\/strong> vocalist <strong>Ian Watkins<\/strong> has been charged with sexual offences against children.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Watkins is facing six charges relating to sexual offences against children, including a charge of attempting to rape a one-year-old and the possession and distribution of indecent images of youngsters.<\/p>\n<p>In addition he is also accused of conspiring with two unnamed women, aged 20 and 24, \u00a0to engage in sexual activities with minors as well as possessing indecent images, including possessing \u201cextreme\u201d animal pornography.<\/p>\n<p>All three defendants will appear before Cardiff Crown Court at the end of the month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE:\u00a0<\/strong>Watkins has denied the charges and been refused bail and will remain in\u00a0custody\u00a0until December 31st.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lostprophets<\/strong>&lsquo;\u00a0latest\u00a0album, <em>&#8216;Weapons&rsquo;<\/em> was released this year and peaked in the UK album chart at Number 9.
