\"\"Hailing from the south east of England, quartet Our Lost Infantry<\/strong> have come out roaring, wielding gritty riffs and biting drum work to announce their call to arms. Produced by vocalist and guitarist Thom Ashworth, \u2018The New Art History\u2019<\/em> is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for this quartet.<\/p>\n

\u2018Kenning\u2019<\/em> introduces the album; quiet, discrete riffs are mixed with liquid vocals, as melodies wrap themselves around the bone structure of the opening track \u2013 but slowly, almost without notice, the vocals become almost frantic, hinging on the edge of sweet desperation as the tempo picks up quickly before fading. But Our Lost Infantry<\/strong> roar upon the opening chords of \u2018Fearless\u2019<\/em>; gutsy riffs twist with emotionally driven vocals, pulling at the heartstrings.<\/p>\n

<a href=“http:\/\/deepelmdigital.com\/album\/the-new-art-history” data-mce-href=“http:\/\/deepelmdigital.com\/album\/the-new-art-history”>The New Art History by Our Lost Infantry<\/a><\/p>\n

Tracks such as \u2018The Tremors\u2019, \u2018All the Streetlights of My Hometown\u2019<\/em> and \u2018Meet Your Maker\u2019<\/em> offer melodic hooks and a refreshing, different take on the progressive-rock vibe. A mighty, strong bass line entwines with quiet (yet thunderous) drumming during \u2018Avogrado\u2019<\/em>, offsetting the gentle piano keys of the opening. Soothing vocals are soon given life and\u00a0twist furiously\u00a0as they\u2019re provoked by crashing riffs. Pushing the boundaries of this track, Our Lost Infantry<\/strong> weave their magic through the course of the album.<\/p>\n

Ending track \u2018Day After Day\u2019<\/em> is an emotionally wrought song; all four members provide vocals, to give their album a solid ending, with an orchestra of lightning quick riffs and melodic drumming. As the track trails to an end, it proves that Our Lost Infantr<\/strong>y are destined for bigger and better things. This is a phenomenal\u00a0d\u00e9but\u00a0album \u2013 something that can\u2019t be said about most.<\/p>\n
