\"\"Having spent last summer touring Europe with Rise Against, Birmingham’s Templeton Pek <\/strong>are set to kickstart their 2012 with a new album ‘Signs’<\/em> in July on a new label –\u00a0People Like You Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However before the album release, this week sees the trio play a headline show at London’s Relentless Garage (Thursday May 29th) as well as releasing a new single called ‘Call to Disarm,’<\/em> a rousing rock number dominated by stadium-sized riffs and bold vocals courtesy of Neal Mitchell.<\/p>\n

Neal recently spoke to Already Heard to take part in our regular “If I…” feature where he tells us which show from the Rise Against tour he would re-live, which Foo Fighters song he wish he wrote, his fantasy festival line-up and more.<\/p>\n

If I could re-record one song it would be…<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0<\/em>Most of the songs on our first album, I think we’re at ease with the recording process now on our third album.<\/em><\/p>\n

If I could re-live one tour\/show it would be…<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0Our first support show with Rise Against at Dusseldorf Phillipshalle in Germany, 7,000 people going crazy.<\/em><\/p>\n

If I had the chance to play one venue it would be…<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0<\/em>CBGBs in New York, just for the shear history and bragging right<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

If I could play with one band it would be…<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0<\/em>Bon Jovi, for pure selfish reasons as a fan and to play arenas.<\/em><\/p>\n

If I could play with any person living or dead it would be…<\/strong>
Neal: <\/em>Dave Grohl just to see if he is ‘Mr Nice’ all the time. Which is humanely impossible so I doubt it, but looks like he’d be up for a beer.<\/em><\/p>\n

If I could bring back any band that have split up, it would be…<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0<\/em>The original line-up of Guns N’ Roses. I know a limp version is still going but it’s not the same.<\/em><\/p>\n

If I wasn’t playing music, I would be…<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0Living on an island on the other side of the planet.<\/em><\/p>\n

If I could play a different genre it would be…<\/strong>
Neal: Film scores although t<\/em>echnically not a genre but film scores.<\/em><\/p>\n

If I could have written any song it would be…<\/strong>
Neal: ’<\/em>Everlong’ by Foo Fighters.<\/em><\/p>\n

If I could have written any album it would be…<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0Star Wars the movie soundtrack<\/em><\/p>\n

If I could headline any festival, it would be…<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0Rock Am Ring in Germany… or the Warped Tour in US.<\/em><\/p>\n

If I could organise my own festival…<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, The Ataris, Rise Against, Explosions In The Sky, Metallica, Old Guns N Roses, Jimmy Eat World, Biffy Clyro, and Ignite.<\/em><\/p>\n

If I could play any other instrument, it would be…<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0<\/em>The Harpsichord<\/em><\/p>\n

If I could give one piece of advice to a new band, it would be:<\/strong>
Neal:\u00a0Don’t take negative comments too personally and grow thick skin fast, music is subjective and everyone has an opinion, however wrong they may be.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

‘Signs’<\/em> by Templeton Pek<\/strong> is released on July 30th through People Like You Records<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
