\"\"Having shared the stage with the likes of Set Your Goals, A Loss For Words and Save Your Breath, its no surprise Chester’s Above The Underground<\/strong> provide a six-song onslaught of Pop-Punk on their new EP, ‘Autumns’.<\/em><\/p>\n

With huge choruses and hooks aplenty, ‘Anchors’<\/em> kicks off the EP in distinguishable fashion and throw in the odd gang vocals and you’re in pop-punk heaven. Nevertheless the band do showcase appreciative melodies throughout with ‘For All It’s Worth’<\/em> being an early example of this with vocalist Will Kirkman especially putting in a good performance.<\/p>\n

‘Under The Weather’<\/em> and ‘Close Your Eyes & Drive’<\/em> keep up the momentum and sees the band producing tightly-knot, catchy pop-punk songs which do stick to the blueprint of the genre but with well-structured hooks you can’t complain.<\/p>\n

Its clear Above The Underground<\/strong> are\u00a0genuine\u00a0fans of the pop-punk genre and have used this knowledge to the best of their ability, as ‘Autumns’<\/em> is a highly impressionable collection of songs that doesn’t allow any space for filler. Although the band don’t give them much space for progress in the future, its not doubt that fans of the genre should enjoy this and Above The Underground should standout from the UK Pop-Punk scene.<\/p>\n
