Singing entirely in their native tongue, the band are set to release their second album, <i>\u2019Natur\u2019<\/i> on this Friday (March 9th).<\/p>\n<p>Skilfully blending together elements of hardcore, punk, and metal, <b>Ondt Blod<\/b> are a force to be reckoned with, providing aggressive verses and soaring choruses. <i>\u2019Natur\u2019<\/i> demonstrates the band performing at their absolute best across ten powerful tracks.<\/p>\n<p>While through vocalist Aslak Heika H\u00e6tta Bj\u00f8rn, the band produce a strong political message on <i>\u2019Natur\u2019<\/i>. Having spent time as a political activist, as well as a being secretary on the board of environment and economy politics in the Red party (aka Norwegian socialist party), the album sees Aslak sing about the on-going colonization and oppression that is affecting the native Sami people of Lapland. Songs such as <i>\u2018Unge Kniva\u2019 (&#8216;Young Knives\u2019)<\/i> offer a rallying call while on <i>&#8216;Store Ord (R\u00f8yk Og Speil) (&#8216;Big Words (Smoke and Mirrors)\u2019)<\/i> and the title track, <b>Ondt Blod<\/b> capture the struggles Sami people have faced.<\/p>\n<p>In anticipation of <i>\u2019Natur\u2019<\/i>, <b>Ondt Blod<\/b>\u2019s Aslak discussed <i>\u2019Music by Numbers\u2019<\/i>.
