For Bridgend, South Wales quintet Breathe In The Silence<\/b>, the road to the release of their forthcoming second EP has been a struggle. Having been through a series of ups and downs, they look to be on the rise again as ‘Hold My Heart’<\/i> sees them embrace their anthemic side yet retain post-hardcore skin.<\/p>\n

Having appeared at Download Festival, Merthyr Rocks, Oxjam Festival and Butserfest in the past, Breathe In The Silence<\/b> recently went out on tour with rising Swedish rockers Normandie<\/b>. Like any band, BITS<\/b> spent hours travelling up and down the country in a van listening to music.<\/p>\n

We asked the band to give us an insight into their touring playlist as they picked out five songs that pulled them through those long drives.<\/p>\n

The 1975 \u2013 UGH<\/h2>\n

The 1975<\/b> are having a huge success at the moment and a couple of us are really into their new album. Their choruses are infectious and their sound is very fun, ideal to get over the long drives on no sleep!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Normandie \u2013 Fight<\/h2>\n

We all got hooked on this song immediately during our UK tour with Normandie<\/b>, it’s literally the type of song that you’d listen to before battle. Perfect for ripping up the M1!<\/p>\n

Issues \u2013 Coma<\/h2>\n

Issues<\/b> are the kings of that techno groove vibe at the moment. ‘Coma’<\/i> is no exception and definitely gets out the air drummer in all of us. Those ghost notes! The chorus is absolutely huge as well, an absolute sing-along must on the road.<\/p>\n

Justin Bieber – Company<\/h2>\n

Playing rock music all of the time usually means that you’ve got to unwind, which got us into Justin Bieber<\/b>\u2019s new album. ‘Company’<\/i> has just got that gritty, infectious bass line and we all love a good bit of melody!<\/p>\n

PVRIS – Fire<\/h2>\n

This PVRIS<\/b> song is one of our favourites, we love the whole synth-crossed-with-rock thing that they absolutely nail! Lyndsey’s voice is incredible as well.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

‘Hold My Heart’<\/i> EP by Breathe In The Silence<\/b> is released on 2nd September on Crooked Noise Records<\/b>.<\/p>\n
