Nevertheless <b>Lonely The Brave<\/b>\u2019s second album, <i>&#8216;Things Will Matter,\u2019<\/i> simply takes all that was good the first time round and amplifies them to a grander scale. <\/p>\n<p>Opening with <i>\u2018Wait In The Car&rsquo;<\/i>, the always mesmerising David Jakes unwillingly takes centre stage as minimalist tones compliment, serving as an intimate introduction before recent singles <i>\u2018Black Mire\u2019<\/i> and <i>\u2018Rattlesnakes\u2019<\/i> bring about a sense of familiarity with their bombastic approach. It\u2019s no doubt that <b>Lonely The Brave<\/b> can deliver a set of thrilling, straight-forward rock songs that have the ability to unite any crowd. New cuts <i>\u2018Strange Like I\u2019<\/i> with its unintentional hook of <i>\u201cyou\u2019re quite strange like I\u201d<\/i> and <i>\u2018Radar\u2019<\/i> with its intense sharp, thick bass line and stringent guitars pull this off in a similar vein.<\/p>\n<p><!-- more --><\/p>\n<p>Whilst their &ldquo;made for stadium\u201d approach is perhaps what <b>Lonely The Brave<\/b> are best known for, it is their more tranquil songs where they really shine as a collective. <i>\u2018Diamond Days\u2019<\/i> carries itself with charm through soothing, atmospheric guitars before surging forward harmoniously as Jakes and guitarist Mark Trotter sing <i>\u201cfor those diamond days.\u201d<\/i> With a radiant undertone, it\u2019s an early and slightly unexpected highlight. Likewise <i>\u2018Tank Wave\u2019<\/i> sees distant guitars weave in and out amongst a satisfying, swaying tempo. <\/p>\n<p>Through towering guitars and Jakes\u2019 soaring voice, <i>\u2018Boxes\u2019<\/i> is another highlight as <b>LTB<\/b> once again show their ability to grab hold of you and leave you hanging on to every word. Nevertheless, the concluding <i>\u2018Jaws Of Hell\u2019<\/i> captures what <b>LTB<\/b> are all about. The combination of impassioned lyrics and stunning musicianship creates a breathtaking display.<\/p>\n<p>Although some may consider this as <i>&#8216;The Day\u2019s War&rsquo;<\/i> part II, <i>&#8216;Things Will Matter\u2019<\/i> sees <b>Lonely The Brave<\/b> evolve as musicians and as songwriters proving to be more considerable, taking in a range of layers and tones throughout.
