Each track of this seventh opus holds at least one poignant stand-out lyric that lingers in its visceral delivery. Hell hath no fury like a Jamey Jasta scorned.<\/p>\n<p>Speedometer-smashing opener <i>\u2018A.D.\u2019<\/i> (abbreviated \u201cAmerican disease\u201d) and its noodly brief solo speak truths of a <i>\u201ccorrupt moral compass\u201d<\/i> that they have always sworn to expose. Seguing into the meandering rhythm of <i>\u2018Looking Down The Barrel Of Today,\u2019<\/i> however, this record stands to prove this is no one trick pony armed to the teeth. Take also <i>\u2018Something\u2019s Off,\u2019<\/i> an initially unremarkable track where Jamey suddenly springs into surprisingly great melodic cleans.<!-- more --><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The ever-present danger of <i>\u2018In The Walls\u2019<\/i> and <i>\u2018Slaughtered In Their Dreams\u2019<\/i> present livid rage that suggests nowhere is safe, plugging energised electric doom from axe-wielders Lozinak and Novinec. <i>\u2018Something\u2019s Off\u2019<\/i> holds remarkably commanding stringsmanship also, as if biding its time to strike as it boils beneath the surface.<\/p>\n<p>Armed with the serrated aggression of <i>\u2018Walking The Knife,\u2019<\/i> the unrepenting leadership of the barbed <i>\u2018Remember When\u2019<\/i> is striking. Decisive, divisive and destructive, closer <i>\u2018Serve Your Masters\u2019<\/i> doesn\u2019t mince its words \u2013 the longer these corrupt aspects remain, moral pacifists only fuel the fire.<\/p>\n<p>Revelling in the weakness of the opposition, however, <i>\u2018From Grace We\u2019ve Fallen\u2019<\/i> showcases impeccable guttural tones expressive of rock bottom despair that charges the pits created through the trudging rhythms of <i>\u2018Us Against Us\u2019<\/i> and stomping chaos of <i>\u2018Seven Enemies\u2019<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>For its short-lived taster of Jamey\u2019s clean vocals alone, <i>\u2018The Concrete Confessional\u2019<\/i> is a fantastic output.
