With the success of bands such as Architects and Bring Me The Horizon, a new wave of UK metalcore acts are emerging. One of those bands is Portsmouth’s Forever In Depths<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Formed in 2011, the quintet have developed a strong local fan base having played along the South Coast regularly. Now with their second EP, ‘Darkness,’<\/i> they set to look further afield and take their brand of melodic metalcore nationwide.<\/p>\n

‘Darkness’<\/i> is three slices of pulsating metalcore that lends itself to the genres predecessors yet highlights the young bands potental and skills.<\/p>\n

As an introduction to Forever In Depths<\/b>, we are premiering the video for the title track from the EP. ‘Darkness’<\/i> displays the bands aggressive side with its fiery tempo with Saint[The]Sinner<\/b> vocalist Luke Boyle popping up to add an extra layer of intensity to the track.<\/p>\n

Here’s what guitarist and clean vocalist Anthony Chantrey had to say about the EP:<\/p>\n

“’Darkness’ as an EP is a statement of the negative influences people can have on each other and ultimately yourself. ‘Darkness,’ the title track, I feel ultimately represents this idea through a message of religion and how it can, in some cases, render people victimised and in turn worse off than they may have been promised or at least led to believe.”<\/i><\/p>\n

Whilst vocalist Jake Hale added:<\/p>\n

“For me ‘Darkness’ is about the internal struggle between my beliefs and faith. The song expresses the way that despite the fact that I long to believe, there is too much suffering in the world for that to be possible. In fact, this song outlines the negative elements of a concept that is supposed to unite the world, but only really creates division.”<\/i><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
