\"ThisThat title might make no sense whatsoever, but the noise This Year’s Ghost<\/b> make on their debut EP couldn’t be any simpler. ‘Yesterday Becomes Tomorrow Today’<\/i> is five slices of massive hard rock that isn’t exactly complicated but is enjoyable nonetheless.<\/p>\n

They don’t hit the same heights as their influences just yet, but it’s clear that the potential to is definitely in there. They’re like a sort of embryonic Alter Bridge – they can both soar and shred when they want, as on the likes of ‘Carry Us In Blue’<\/i> or the chugging ‘Silver Tongue’<\/i>, though just not as hard as Myles Kennedy and co.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This being a debut though, that’s to be expected. And besides, This Year’s Ghost<\/b> still have plenty to go on, even managing to rope in The Defiled’s Stitch D for a verse on the towering December Sun<\/i>.<\/p>\n

It’s impressive stuff, and even a couple of lacklustre moments can’t really ruin ‘Yesterday Becomes Tomorrow Today’<\/i>. It should definitely pave the way for bigger things if nothing else.<\/p>\n
