\"\"<\/a>Given that they\u2019re the epitome of modern arena rock, Alter Bridge<\/b><\/a> were always going to do something like this. This sort of spectacle is the foundation that lasting greatness is built on, and so \u2019Live At The Royal Albert Hall\u2019<\/i> captures the band\u2019s ambitious show at the titular venue last October.<\/p>\n

And the easiest thing to get out of the way first is that this album is pretty much for diehards only. For one, this two-hour-long extravaganza is enough to test anyone\u2019s mettle. Still, for anyone that is<\/i> an Alter Bridge<\/b> fan, this is pretty much the ultimate collection to have, spanning the band\u2019s entire catalogue with great precision and augmenting it with orchestral grandeur, courtesy of theParallax Orchestra.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the most surprising thing is how good this all sounds. Considering how slapdash live records can be, there\u2019s a level of clarity that\u2019s genuinely incredible here. Whether that\u2019s in Myles Kennedy\u2019s unwavering vocal stability throughout, or how effective the Parallax Orchestra are, particularly on slower, more melodic cuts like \u2019Before Tomorrow Comes\u2019<\/i> and a frankly gorgeous segue between \u2019Wonderful Life\u2019<\/i> and \u2019Watch Over You\u2019<\/i>.<\/p>\n
