Nevertheless,\u00a0that&#8217;s what\u00a0<strong>Touch\u00e9 Amor\u00e9<\/strong> achieved this past February. And ideally, they&#8217;ve marked it with this live record.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place in their hometown of Los Angeles,<em> &#8217;10 Years\u2026&#8217;<\/em> serves as a celebration for all what\u00a0<strong>Touch\u00e9 Amor\u00e9<\/strong> have accomplished over the past decade. Over the course of 27 tracks, the set picks out from their deep discography of albums, EP&#8217;s and splits; collaborations with La Dispute and Self Defense Family are given the full live treatment.<\/p>\n<p>For anyone who has witnessed,\u00a0<strong>Touch\u00e9 Amor\u00e9<\/strong> live in recent years will know how much of a sonic force they have become, and thanks to\u00a0Kurt Ballou&#8217;s mixing,\u00a0<em>&#8217;10 Years\u2026&#8217;<\/em> perfectly captures the quintet at their most ferociousness. Throughout, guitarists Nick Steinhardt and\u00a0Clayton Stevens and bassist\u00a0Tyler Kirby\u00a0provide urgency with stirring drives and ringing harmonies. While\u00a0Elliot Babin&#8217;s dense drum work is feverish (see <em>&#8216;Cadence&#8217;<\/em>) and is impossible to ignore. Then there&#8217;s\u00a0Jeremy Bolm. For 10 years he&#8217;s been pouring his heart out. On here he is humble yet that doesn&#8217;t deter him from delivering a thoroughly impassioned performance. On songs such as<em> &#8216;Art Official&#8217;<\/em>,<em>\u00a0&#8216;Harbor&#8217;<\/em>, and <em>&#8216;Is Survived By&#8217;<\/em>, his throaty screams are delivered with pure conviction.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Touch\u00e9 Amor\u00e9 - &quot;Flowers and You&quot; (Live)\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UpiCO1mxjnk?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1&#038;origin=https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Even though emotional numbers such as<em> &#8216;Just Exist&#8217;<\/em>, <em>&#8216;Flowers and You&#8217;<\/em>, and<em> &#8216;Palms Dreams&#8217;<\/em> appear, one of the most touching moments is when a sentimental Bolm addresses the crowd. He explains how the band&#8217;s early work was about how he didn&#8217;t like L.A. and now he&#8217;s learned it&#8217;s <em>&#8220;the best place ever&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The sold out crowd cannot be forgotten. From filling in on vocals to overwhelmingly showing their appreciation throughout,\u00a0it&#8217;s clear this was a special night for all in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Whether this a good introduction to <strong>TA<\/strong> is left for debate.
