At this time of year, many music fans have one eye on making their end of year lists but as today’s list of releases show, there are some potential late contenders.<\/p>\n
One of the main records that could appear on those all-important lists is ‘Holy Hell’<\/i><\/a> by <\/a>Architects<\/strong><\/a>. While you can expect to hear polarising comments on ‘Simulation Theory’<\/em>, the eighth studio album from stadium rockers\u00a0Muse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Away from the major names, there is a whole host of notable releases. Sludge\/post-metal unit\u00a0Ohhms<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0return with <\/span>‘Exist’<\/em><\/span>, genre-mixing metallers\u00a0<\/span>SHVPES<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0deliver <\/span>‘Greater Than’,<\/a><\/em><\/span> and Against Me!’s<\/span> Laura Jane Grace<\/strong><\/span> goes down an Americana route as she and <\/span>the Devouring Mothers<\/strong><\/span> with <\/span>‘Bought To Rot’<\/a><\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n There’s also music from Cult Leader<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam<\/strong>, Cold Night For Alligators<\/strong>,\u00a0Goldblume<\/a><\/strong>, Black Coast<\/strong>,\u00a0Yonaka<\/strong>,\u00a0I Don\u2019t Know How but They Found Me<\/strong>,\u00a0Prey Drive<\/strong>,\u00a0J Mascis<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n Finally, Hopeless Records<\/strong> launch their first ‘Songs That Saved My Life’<\/a><\/em> compilation. Featuring cover songs performed by Neck Deep<\/strong>,\u00a0Taking Back Sunday<\/strong>, As It Is<\/strong> and others, the album aims to\u00a0raise money for suicide prevention and mental health charities.<\/p>\n
