Later this month rising Wolverhampton rockers Dearist<\/b> release their brilliant debut album – ‘This House Has No Windows’<\/i>. With its mix of intense lyrical imagery, explosive choruses and self-assured instrumentation, the album is a compulsive and engaging emotional rock record.<\/p>\n

Although the album isn’t released until October 23rd, Already Heard<\/b> has teamed up with Close To Home Records<\/b> to premier a new song from ‘This House Has No Windows’<\/i>. ‘Reign’<\/i> captures what Dearist<\/b> are all about; bold instrumentation, captivating song structure and a thriving, impassioned chorus.<\/p>\n

Vocalist\/bassist Adam Binder explained how ‘Reign’<\/i> came together and what the track is about:<\/p>\n

“The music to ‘Reign’ took ages to come together properly. I had recorded the bare bones of it and started adding string parts to the ending and synths in the verses but it did it didn’t feel right until Mike and Tucker came to put their parts on top. Tucker put some chords on top of the chords I had already put down on the ending. Those chords turned the whole ending into something totally different which I love, it’s one of my favourite moments on the album.<\/i><\/p>\n

As for the lyrics, I myself can’t nail them down to one subject. I know I was walking through my home town of Wolverhampton when I came up with quite a few of them. I remember thinking a lot about the Jehovah’s Witnesses preaching in the town. It was also general election time so there was lots of talk of the people in charge. I’m not a political person at all but you hear so many stories and promises, from both sides, it’s hard to know what to believe or who to trust. So when I listen back to the lyrics I hear a mixture of all those feelings and thoughts that I couldn’t really force into one concise opinion.”<\/i><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

‘This House Has No Windows’<\/i> by Dearist<\/b> is released on October 23rd on Close To Home Records<\/b>.<\/p>\n
