On their debut album, ‘A Motion Paralysed’<\/em>, Brighton quartet River Becomes Ocean<\/strong> deliver a well-balanced set of giant anthems and tranquil lullabies, wrapped in a skin of cinematic post-hardcore. Where songs such as ‘Silence Means Nothing’<\/em>, ‘Face You’<\/em>, and ‘Addicted’<\/em> hammer along with vibrancy, only to be countered by more refrained tracks like ‘Apart’<\/em> and ‘The Fall’,<\/em> showing RBO<\/strong>‘s diverse soundscape.<\/p>\n

While the band’s sound on the surface is varied,\u00a0‘A Motion Paralysed’<\/em>\u00a0is threaded together by a sense of grandiose, with\u00a0River Becomes Ocean<\/strong>‘s influences coming from a multitude of places. Alongside a range of rock and post-hardcore influences, they’re also inspired by classical music and film scores.<\/p>\n

So to mark the release of\u00a0‘A Motion<\/em> Paralysed’, guitarist and vocalist\u00a0Danny Snow picked out five of his favourite pieces of classic cinema compositions.<\/p>\n
