Next month they&#8217;re set to release their <strong>Manic Kat Records<\/strong> debut in the form of <i>&#8216;r\u00f4r\u2032sh\u00e4k&#8217;<\/i>. Its five songs combine the band&#8217;s emotional drive and muscular instrumentation with a sly stylistic nod to <b>Pyrite Sidewalk<\/b>&#8216;s influences; Underoath, Silverstein, Senses Fail and a host of other bands that emerged throughout the mid-2000s.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, <b>Pyrite Sidewalk<\/b> are far from a nostalgia act. With its title being a reference to Rorschach, the personality test using ink blots, <i>&#8216;r\u00f4r\u2032sh\u00e4k&#8217;<\/i> has plenty of character and refreshing energy.<\/p>\n<p>For a preview, we&#8217;ve teamed up with <b>Pyrite Sidewalk<\/b> and <b>Manic Kat Records<\/b> to premiere the opening track from the EP &#8211; <i>&#8216;Clouds&#8217;<\/i>.
