Amongst those who have done that in recent years are <strong>Phoxjaw<\/strong>. The Bristol-based outfit have increasingly become ones to watch over the past 18 months. With their\u00a0off-kilter riffs and ferocious energy, their appearance at last year&#8217;s <strong>2000trees<\/strong> caught the eye of Hassle Records, who have just released the quartet&#8217;s second EP &#8211; <em>&#8216;A Playground For Sad Adults&#8217;<\/em>. Songs such as <em>&#8216;Monday Man&#8217;<\/em> and <em>&#8216;Bodiesinthewall&#8217;<\/em> prove to be equally unique and infectious.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of appearing at the festival for the second year running, we asked <strong>Phoxjaw<\/strong> vocalist and bassist Danny Garland to pick out 10 songs they can&#8217;t wait to hear leaving an impact at Upcote Farm this weekend.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/playlist\/3DzHHC5UpfZAVFhQd4mrGg\" width=\"100%\" height=\"380\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/user\/alreadyhearduk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Follow us on Spotify for more playlists.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Raketkanon &#8211; Hannibal<\/h2>\n<p>These guys have this really droney, heavy sound mixed with like krautrock. The vocalist also has one of my favourite voices.<\/p>\n<h2>Pulled Apart By Horses &#8211; I Punched A Lion In The Throat<\/h2>\n<p>I love this band. They have so much energy and are so punk rock!<\/p>\n<h2>Therapy? &#8211; Epilepsy<\/h2>\n<p>We were lucky enough to play with these guys last year. I\u2019ve been a fan since I was a kid.<\/p>\n<h2>While She Sleeps &#8211; ANTI-SOCIAL<\/h2>\n<p>This is such a raw sounding metal\/rock song that smashes you in the face!<\/p>\n<h2>Holding Absence &#8211; Like a Shadow<\/h2>\n<p>This track is such a banger. Its catchy chorus deserves to be played and sang at a festival. Also, they are lovely boys!<\/p>\n<h2>Turnstile &#8211; I Don&#8217;t Wanna be Blind<\/h2>\n<p>The bass tone in this track makes me want to fight reptiles in the octagon.<\/p>\n<h2>Haggard Cat &#8211; Bone Shaker<\/h2>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t listen to this riff and instantly want to crack a beer on your head and take your shirt off, we can&#8217;t be friends.<\/p>\n<h2>Show Me The Body &#8211; Body War<\/h2>\n<p>I&#8217;m so excited to lose my t-shirt and shoes to this track.<\/p>\n<h2>Rolo Tomassi &#8211; Rituals<\/h2>\n<p>We do love those crazy proggy riffs!<\/p>\n<h2>The St Pierre Snake Invasion &#8211; Omens<\/h2>\n<p>Our hometown friends that smash it every time!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe title=\"Phoxjaw -
