{"id":93800,"date":"2023-06-08T10:52:28","date_gmt":"2023-06-08T09:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/?p=93800"},"modified":"2023-06-08T10:52:28","modified_gmt":"2023-06-08T09:52:28","slug":"grove-street-the-path-to-righteousness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/grove-street-the-path-to-righteousness\/","title":{"rendered":"Grove Street Detail Debut Album (&#8216;The Path To Righteousness&#8217;)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Southampton hardcore\/thrash mob\u00a0<strong>Grove Street<\/strong> have announced they will be releasing their debut album, &#8216;<em>The Path To Righteousness<\/em>&#8216;, through\u00a0<strong>UNFD\u00a0<\/strong>on September 29th.<\/p>\n<p>On announcing the album, guitarist Sandy described the album as <em>&#8220;a labour of love<\/em>&#8221; before adding; <em>&#8220;we\u2019ve worked on this record for a long time. from its inception to the DIY approach we took with the recording and mixing. This being our debut full-length, we knew we wanted to level up on every front, which led us to be meticulous with every detail on every part of every song. We couldn\u2019t justify rushing it for the sake of feeding the machine. We\u2019re extremely proud of it. Every track taps into a different part of what Grove Street is.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Listen to the title track &#8211;\u00a0<em>&#8216;The Path To Righteousness&#8217;<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>Coinciding with the album announcement in a video\/single release for the title track &#8211; &#8216;<em>The Path To Righteousness&#8217;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Musically, it sees\u00a0<strong>Grove Street<\/strong>&#8216;s sound firmly rooted in groove-laded hardcore thrash with chugging guitars and a stomping rhythm.\u00a0Drummer Josh Williams explained the track <em>&#8220;came together pretty organically in the practice room&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I remember listening to Suicidal Tendencies and Power Trip at the time and wanted to capture a hybrid of groove and fast thrashy vibes,&#8221;<\/em> added Williams. <em>&#8220;We wanted the last section to build and then finish strong and heavy.
