As a preview, they&#8217;ve shared its opening track &#8211; <em>&#8216;angel number&#8217;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The track captures the three-piece&#8217;s emotionally rich and musically sturdy sound. With Ffin Colley (vocals), being joined by Em Lodge (bass) and Chaz Tomlinson (drums) in recent years,\u00a0<strong>Delaire The Liar<\/strong> are now a firm and revitalised unit with <em>&#8216;angel number&#8217;<\/em> exemplifying their ability to be equally fragile and frenzied.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Delaire The Liar - angel number. (Official Music Video)\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ROgtWC1aeEA?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1&#038;origin=https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Tell me more about Delaire The Liar&#8217;s new EP &#8211; <em>&#8216;Self Defence&#8217;<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>Alongside\u00a0<em>&#8216;angel number&#8217;<\/em>,\u00a0<strong>Delaire The Liar<\/strong>&#8216;s new EP will include three tracks with one of them being the previously released <em>&#8216;bite trap&#8217;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Thematically,\u00a0<em>&#8216;S<\/em><em>elf Defence&#8217;\u00a0<\/em>will consist of fictitious scenarios that question the idea of self-defence.<\/p>\n<p>On announcing the EP, <strong>Delaire The Liar<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>shared the following comment:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn the throes of desperation, there&#8217;s no telling the lengths a person will go to preserve themselves or their loved ones. This EP presents a series of fictional scenarios to challenge the typical understanding of self defence. The usual themes surrounding the topic are present; antagonism, violence, action and reaction, but with a focus on the more drastic instances that require a less reflexive and more considered approach. Instances that require a deeper understanding of the self, emotional capacity for pain, physical capacity for punishment, moral detachment and sacrifice for the benefit of yourself or someone else.
