The fifth album from the duo sees Frank Carter and Dean Richardson taking a more reflective approach with a heavy dose of self-evaluation.\u00a0\u201cI’m just witnessing the world change so quickly around me and I\u2019m still trying to come to terms with who I am and what the authentic version of me is,\u201d <\/em>Carter says. \u201cBy giving people what I thought they wanted I think I got further and further away from who I actually am, you know? So now, first and foremost, I\u2019m prioritising what I need. Sobriety has been really, really helpful for me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

While Richardson explained it’s not just the lyrical nature of\u00a0‘Dark Rainbow<\/em>‘\u00a0<\/em>that sees Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes look backwards to move forwards. “Normally we don\u2019t look backwards when making a record, but this has been looking to reach us for a long time,\u201d<\/em> said Richardson. “Some songs are old ideas reworked, fresh eyes on something that didn\u2019t quite fit on their other records. Some of these songs were lost along the way because basically, we didn’t really give them the space.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
