Independent rock and metal festival, Takedown<\/strong>, has announced Creeper\u00a0<\/strong>as one of its headliners for its 2024 festival.<\/p>\n

The news is part of 29 names being announced for the two-day Portsmouth-based event. Some of the other names announced today are Dinosaur Pile-Up<\/strong>, \u2018A<\/strong>\u2019, Dream State<\/strong>, Kid Bookie<\/strong>, Snayx<\/strong>, Mimi Barks<\/strong>, Hell Is For Heroes<\/strong>, Stone Broken<\/strong>, BLACKGOLD<\/strong>, Dead Pony<\/strong>, Urne<\/strong>, and Mason Hill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Takedown Festival<\/strong> returned earlier this year after an eight-year break. It saw the South Coast festival move from Southampton University to the Guildhall in Portsmouth. Its return is part of a new partnership between Divergent Festivals and The Guildhall Trust.<\/p>\n

On commenting about the next April’s event,\u00a0Kai and Sarah Harris of Takedown Festival<\/strong> Ltd said, \u201cWe are really excited to announce today the first bands for the Takedown Festival 2024 line up! Now expanded to 2 days, 2024 will be the biggest Takedown Festival ever and we are determined to make it the best yet! We have been blown away by the support and feedback we have received since bringing back one of the best-loved events to the South Coast earlier this year, including three nominations in the UK Festival Awards, and we are delighted to see Takedown staking its place as one of the key rock festivals in the calendar. The line-up announced so far offers a great range of bands and we\u2019ve got more exciting announcements to come!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Takedown Festival 2024 takes place at Portsmouth Guildhall on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April 2024.<\/p>\n
