They were a culmination of a 13-year career that included four albums. While their farewell was initially planned for 2020, including a final appearance at the <strong>ArcTanGent Festival<\/strong>, those plans were curtailed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Fast-forward to October 2021, and with Covid restrictions loosening,\u00a0<strong>Talons<\/strong> came together for two farewell shows to collectively celebrate their history.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the sextet have released\u00a0<em>&#8216;Commemoration&#8217;<\/em>, a live film documenting the London half of their farewell. Recorded at Bush Hall venue in Shepherds Bush, West London, the set captures\u00a0<strong>Talons&#8217;<\/strong> compelling sound that incorporates towering riffs and atmospheric soundscapes. The film is interspersed with candid footage from the band&#8217;s time together touring, showcasing their camaraderie and friendship.<\/p>\n<p>The film was edited and colour graded by <strong>Talons<\/strong> bassist Chris Hicks, shot by Ben Riou-Pollard and Luigi Sibona and mixed by Jamie Lockhart of Greenmount Studios. It also includes artwork from guitarist Oliver Steels.<\/p>\n<p>Several months after\u00a0<strong>Talons<\/strong> final shows, violinist Sam Little s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/gotalons\/posts\/406242284643921\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">adly passed away<\/a> in March 2022. The loss of Sam has been understandably devastating for <strong>Talons,<\/strong> and they have dedicated this film to his memory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Talons<\/strong> are asking fans to donate to\u00a0<strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aorticdissectioncharitabletrust.org\/donate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aortic Dissection Trust<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhf.org.uk\/informationsupport\/conditions\/aortic-aneurysm-dissection-and-rupture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">As the British Heart Foundation explains<\/a>, Aortic dissection is when the weakened wall of the aorta tears, causing blood to leak between the layers that make up the walls of your arteries.
